How the cut is made
This is the part you used to do by hand: watch, stop, cut, switch, repeat for an hour. WizCut does the same pass in minutes and follows a few simple rules.
It works out who is talking
Speaker detection runs on the audio, so it works in any language and with one mixed track or a mic per person.
It switches to whoever is speaking
Every speaker turn becomes a camera cut. Short interjections are held so the edit does not flicker.
It cuts to the wide shot when both talk
If you map a camera that shows both people, WizCut cuts to it on crosstalk and drops in wide cutaways on conversational beats.
It tightens the pauses
Long silences get shortened to a natural beat or removed. You choose keep, tighten or remove before the cut.
You pick the pace
Relaxed, balanced or dynamic changes how long a shot is held and how often the wide comes in. Re-cut as often as you like.

Questions people ask
Do I need Premiere Pro?
No. The web editor does the whole job in the browser: upload, review, render, download. The Premiere Pro extension is for editors who already live in Premiere and want the cut inside their own timeline.
Does it use my wide shot?
Yes. Map a camera that shows more than one speaker, and WizCut cuts to it whenever people talk over each other. It also adds wide cutaways on conversational beats, more often on the dynamic setting and less on relaxed.
What setups does it handle?
Any conversation filmed on two or more cameras. One-on-ones, co-hosted shows and panels all work, and there is no limit on the number of speakers. Several people can share a camera, and one person can appear on several. In the browser a project takes up to 12 camera and audio files.
Do I need a separate audio track per speaker?
No. One mixed track is fine. Separate tracks per person make speaker detection more reliable, so use them if you have them.
Which languages does it work in?
Any. Speaker detection listens to voices, not words, so the language of the conversation does not matter.
Can I change the cuts?
Yes. In the browser you move or add cut points in the editor before rendering. In Premiere Pro the result is a normal multicam timeline, so you edit it like any other.
Where are my files processed?
Your uploads are stored in the EU, and syncing, cutting and rendering run on servers in the EU. For speaker detection, the audio goes to our speaker detection provider, pyannoteAI, which processes it in memory and does not keep it. Details are in our privacy policy.
Is the lifetime license really lifetime?
Yes. Pay once and the Premiere Pro extension keeps working for as long as WizCut exists, including updates to what it does today. Features that cost us money to run, like transcription, may have limits for lifetime users.
